Feeling a bit peckish after carving the slopes, tobogganing at full pelt down the mountains or enjoying one of the countless other adventures in the snow? Then the ski huts and restaurants of Obereggen are where you need to be! There’s practically no other place where you can find such an incredible culinary fusion of traditional mountain fare and Mediterranean lightness: the contrasts of South Tyrol and Trentino fuse into tantalising treats for the taste buds such as schlutzkrapfen (pasta pockets), goulash, fillet of pasture-fed beef – not to mention spaghetti bolognese, lasagne or shrimp. 

A spot of “Holbmittog” elevenses here, an aperitivo there – or perhaps even a full-on lunchtime indulgence in the architecturally and visually stunning Oberholz Hut, where lovers of good food can linger over a meal in a stylish restaurant atmosphere – right on the Obereggen slopes. Or at the Mayrl Alm, which welcomes hungry slope-goers with specialty fish dishes... or the Epircher Laner Alm with its sun-kissed terrace. The Weigler Schupf, the Zischgalm, the Latemar hut and the Absam Stube with its well-stocked schnapps bar also welcome you to savour revitalising food, warming drinks, good company and a nightcap or two. Not forgetting, of course, the Ganischger Alm, where après-ski parties meet outstanding cuisine to create a fabulous atmosphere!
