The man, his mountain and a sunny disposition: fixed rope routes snake up to the summits through the ancient Dolomites, between the towers and over rocky ridges, ever higher into the limestone, and ever deeper into the UNESCO World Heritage Site!
Fixed rope routes have been a feature of the Dolomites since 1903. In and around the Catinaccio massif there are a total of eight secure climbing tours where the promise of magnificent views of the Dolomites will be fulfilled! Explore wonderful round trips or climb the Latemar and Vajolet towers, conquer the Catinaccio d'Antermoia or the Roda di Vaèl – there are fixed rope routes leading heavenwards that range in difficulty from the 3rd to the 9th degree!
A knowledge of Alpine climbing techniques is also an advantage on secured routes, but it is not a must. A head for heights is however an absolute necessity - the buzz is there in any case. If you are looking to find out in advance whether you can perform at altitude, or just want to warm up for the climb, the high ropes course in Obereggen is the ideal training ground.
