For the 2026/2027 winter season, the new 8-seater Obereggen chairlift replaces the previous 4-seater chairlift, improving the connection between the Obereggen ski area in South Tyrol and the ski areas of Pampeago and Predazzo in Trentino.
Designed and manufactured by Leitner, the new lift is 500 metres long and covers a vertical difference of 93 metres. With a maximum speed of 4.5 metres per second, it can transport up to 2,800 people per hour. The journey takes approximately 1 minute and 52 seconds.
The previous 4-seater chairlift began operating in 2006 and connected the Obereggen ski area with the ski areas in Trentino for over 20 years.
For the 2026/2027 winter season, Obereggen is expanding and modernising its facilities for families and winter sports enthusiasts. The new “Eben” ski lift provides access to the redesigned “Brunoland” kids’ snow park, ensuring convenient connections within the ski area.
Designed and manufactured by Leitner, the “Eben” ski lift is 479 metres long and covers a vertical difference of 105 metres, reaching a speed of 2.8 metres per second. With a capacity of up to 720 people per hour, the journey takes approximately 2 minutes and 52 seconds.
Brunoland, Obereggen’s long-established snow park for children, has undergone a complete redesign. For the 2026/2027 winter season, it will move to a new location directly next to the valley station and feature new play equipment. The new family-friendly facilities will open together with the “Eben” ski lift at the start of the winter season.
For the 2026/2027 winter season, the new Latemar Fun Lines expand the range of activities available in the Latemar Dolomites ski area. These varied courses combine skiing with fun features such as banked turns, rollers, small jumps, tunnels and other snow elements. Each route offers different challenges, from easy courses for beginners to more varied lines for experienced winter sports enthusiasts.
The new attractions include Latemar Forest Rush, Latemar Skimovie, Latemar Snow Flow, Latemar White Tornado, Latemar Speed Time, Latemar Flow Time, Latemar Tunnel Rush, Latemar Wild Run and Latemar White Canyon. The individual routes are clearly signposted and feature distinctive themes.
A special experience awaits visitors at Latemar Skimovie, where descents are automatically recorded on video. At Latemar Speed Time, skiers can measure their descent time. With its easier features, Latemar Flow Time is particularly suitable for anyone looking to discover the world of Fun Lines.
These new attractions make the Latemar Dolomites ski area even more varied, offering winter sports enthusiasts of all ages new opportunities to combine technique, speed and fun on the slopes.
More turns, more fun and a brand-new finish: for the 2026/2027 winter season, the Obereggen toboggan run features a redesigned route in its final section. The trail now winds through the forest and finishes near the Oberholz chairlift. Additional turns make the new section even more varied and exciting, while the redesigned run-out area provides enhanced safety.
The approximately 2.5-kilometre-long toboggan run in the Obereggen ski area is carefully groomed and offers winter fun for the whole family, whether you go alone, as a couple or with friends. The Ochsenweide gondola lift takes you comfortably up to the starting point.
The new route also makes night tobogganing in Obereggen a special experience: the entire run is illuminated. Every Tuesday and Friday, from 7 pm to 10 pm, the floodlit toboggan run invites visitors to enjoy exciting descents after dark. The Ochsenweide gondola lift conveniently takes tobogganers to the starting point in the evening, ready for thrilling rides beneath the starry sky.
