On the trail of the forest dragons

Strolling through mountain forests, through clearings and past wonderful works of art – this is one excursion that’s definitely worth undertaking! The Forest of Dragons near Gardoné is a fairytale paradise for adventurers young and old. 

The adventure trail is located at an altitude of 1,650 metres and begins at the mountain station of the Predazzo-Gardoné cable car. Covering a delightful 1.4 kilometres in length, it is just under an hour’s walk from start to finish. The route also makes a great toboggan run: the Forest of Dragons trail leads through the forest (naturally), via sunny clearings and incredible viewpoints. Along the way, kids and parents alike can admire and marvel at amazing works of Land Art. The best way to explore the Forest of Dragons is with the gamebook: filled with short stories, riddles and clues, it can be picked up at the Gardoné information point.
