Stop Corona!

“We are ready!”  A break in Obereggen? Of course!

Wide open pastures, vivid forests, soaring rock towers – and an almost endless network of trails, offering everything from gentle strolls to high-Alpine adventures: “The Val d’Ega and the Latemar massif are places of longing that stimulate the urge to be get out and about and to experience nature, especially after the last months – and can provide enormous satisfaction”, explains Siegfried Pichler, president of Obereggen Latemar AG. He adds: “Of course, the need for safety is just as great, which is why we have taken additional effective precautions in Obereggen and throughout the Val d’Ega. We want our guests and visitors to enjoy a totally relaxing break this year: we are ready!”

Stop Corona!

As from 5 June until 3rd October 2021 things will be getting going in Obereggen, whether on foot or in more leisurely style on one of the various cable cars. The Latemar.ium, with its themed trails, artworks, viewpoints and Alpine pastures will also be open for visitors to hike and experience – in complete safety:

Passengers are of course always in the fresh air on the 4 chair lifts which will bring you in to the Latemar.ium. To ensure regular ventilation of the two cable cars Predazzo-Gardonè and Obereggen-Ochsenweide, the gondola windows will remain open during travel. Some lifts can have reduced capacities, which are shown on signs at the lift entrance. The carriages of the lift facilities (gondolas and seats) and all communal areas will be regularly disinfected. The carriages of the lift facilities (gondolas and seats) and all communal areas will be regularly disinfected.

Chairlifts and cable cars can be used, respecting the safety measures in force, without the Green Pass.

As in the 2020 summer season, all staff of the lift operator, Obereggen Latemar AG, will be regularly tested for COVID-19 during summer 2021.

In order to minimise risks, all staff of the lift operator will regularly attend training courses and be kept updated on corona safety measures.

All staff will always wear mouth and nose protection at the lifts, in the alpine huts and wherever staff and visitors might come into direct contact.

Visitors will be informed of the applicable corona safety rules by means of signs, monitors at the cash desks, via the Obereggen TV channel and via instructions from our staff on site.

Thinking in an environmentally conscious will help us to protect nature: so please do not carelessly throw away any masks, gloves or other material and instead dispose of them in the waste bins provided. As the landscape and natural world around the Latemar massif are not only exceptionally beautiful, but also merit protection, Obereggen has for many years focused on a sustainable, certified environmental management system that meets the international ISO 14001 standard.

Mouth and nose protection must be worn when using all cable cars, in the ticket-office and in all enclosed spaces. Mouth and nose protection must also be worn whenever the required distancing cannot be observed.

The required safety distance must be observed when boarding the lifts and when purchasing lift tickets.

Hand disinfectant dispensers to permit regular disinfection of hands are provided at the entrance to the lift facilities, in front of the ticket counters, in the toilet facilities and in the restaurants up on the mountain.
