Simply aim for the heights! Head up to mountain refuges, summit crosses, the start of the piste. Look across to the chain of mountains on the horizon and down towards the valley. Across the tops of forests and expanses of meadows. Simply follow the call of the Dolomites, hiking, cycling or skiing – tobogganing, cross-country skiing or snowboarding! And take the time once in a while to stop, wonder, and reflect. The mountain pastures and refuges of Obereggen in the Val d'Ega will give you that unique lofty feeling, too! Do you like to take part in exciting races and bets with friends?
On the two parallel courses you can test your skills, compete with your friends on the track and fight for the fastest time.
Both courses have a start gate and a finish gate, where the running time of both skiers is recorded to determine the winner. Two cameras record your turns through the gates.
From start to finish, you will feel like a real racing star!
Every Monday, the Obereggen Night Show takes place at the valley station in Obereggen. It always starts at 21:30. Admission is free of charge.
The Obereggen ski and snowboard school shows what tricks its ski instructors can do. The spectacular descents and show interludes are framed by an extraordinary entertainment program.
The Eggental valley is located in South Tyrol, in the heart of the Dolomites, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Whether by train, bus, car or plane, the Eggental valley can be reached in many different ways.
Coming to South Tyrol by train is both relaxing and environmentally friendly: just sit back, read a book and enjoy the passing landscape – stress-free.
Get on the coach, watch the landscape go by, or take a nap... your holiday will start even before your arrival, as the bus will very often take you right to your accommodation.
You can reach the Eggental valley by car from the A22 Brenner autobahn: from the north, follow Innsbruck-Brennero-Bolzano Nord/Eggental, while from the south follow Verona-Bolzano Nord/Eggental. You can reach the Eggental valley and your accommodation from the Bolzano Nord/Eggental exit in around 20 minutes.
South Tyrol airport is located at Bolzano. The closest airports are Innsbruck to the north, Venice and Verona to the south. Flight connections are extensive and allow travellers to travel independently. South Tyrol is less than two hours by car from Verona and Innsbruck.
