Summer, sun and super ideas
It is that tingling feeling that makes the beaming sun seem to cheer for joy and brings the vibrant surroundings to life! In the lush green mountain meadows, in the flickering lights that play on the white towers of the Dolomites - and in the leg muscles of those who love summer, hiking and adventure!
Get out and about!
Hiking and rock climbing? Of course - from Obereggen alone there are 15 hiking trails ranging from “easy-going” to “training essential” as you climb vertically! Families, day trippers and hikers should all reserve a day (at least) for the Latemarium with its 360° viewing platforms and informative themed trails that run in every direction. Nor are any limits placed on Nordic walkers, runners or even those looking for a gentle stroll! Whether on the level or steeply upwards, there is cardio training for all levels and guaranteed views aplenty!
Supertrails: whether you are a leisure cyclist or an enthusiastic mountain biker, there are countless inspiring trails, hiking paths, forest ways and bike routes all around Obereggen. Golfers too can enjoy a round or two, with the Dolomites as the backdrop to the golf courses at the Costalunga Pass or Monte San Pietro. If you want to improve your climbing skills, but are not yet ready to tackle the Dolomites, you can practise on the forest high-ropes course. And even sledging fun is to be had in summer: where else but on the Alpine Coaster at Gardonè?!
Car-free means carefree!
It’s best to get here on public transport. Buses and shared taxis take hikers, bikers and nature lovers from the surrounding villages of Monte San Pietro, Nova Ponente and Ega to the lifts at Obereggen!
