Good, better, Obereggen!
You think nothing is perfect? Think again! The pistes at Obereggen certainly are: perfectly groomed, that is! At least according to Skiresort.de: the world’s largest test portal for ski resorts has singled out the Ski Center Latemar as having the world’s best-groomed slopes! The Latemar Ski Center is also awarded the status of one of Europe’s 25 best ski areas, not to mention one of the best in Italy. The Obereggen Ski School is also one of the best, of course: one of the five best in South Tyrol!
But these are not the only awards: there follows a short chronology of accolades - and with it plenty of reasons for a ski trip to Obereggen!
Skiresort.de again selects the Ski Center Latemar as winner of the category “Insider tip: best ski area with up to 60 km of slopes”.
At Skipass in Modena, Italy’s largest winter sports trade fair, Obereggen receives the coveted Snowpark Award.
The world’s largest test portal for ski resorts, Skiresort.de, again selects Obereggen and the Ski Center Latemar as the “Best ski area with up to 60 km of slopes” as well as the overall test winner for the world’s best-groomed slopes.
Skiresort.de chooses Obereggen in the Ski Center Latemar as the best ski area with up to 60 kilometres of slopes; the resort receives 17 awards in the tested categories, as well as being the overall test winner for the world’s best-groomed slopes. Obereggen is also awarded “absolute insider tip” status and comes third in Italy among the 25 best ski resorts in Europe.
Obereggen and the Ski Center Latemar again receive the gold medal for the best-groomed ski pistes in the Alps and are thus entitled to the piste quality seal - in double gold - awarded by Skiareatest.com.
Germany’s biggest winter sports portal, Skigebiete-Test.de, selects Obereggen as one of South Tyrol’s best ski resorts.
Obereggen is selected by the German Skiing Association and the Bild am Sonntag newspaper as one of the ten best ski areas for families.
Five mountain crystals: the Obereggen Ski School receives the highest award from the Association of South Tyrol Ski Schools and is thus one of the five best ski schools in the land. It also receives the gold quality seal for specialist children’s ski schools.
The Premium Report by Mountain Management Consulting questioned a total of 41,864 winter sports enthusiasts in the 55 best ski resorts in the Alps: the Obereggen snowpark was voted among the five best fun parks in the Alps and thus the best snowpark in Italy.
As one of the most traditional and best snowparks in Italy, the Obereggen snowpark receives a special 20th anniversary award at Italy’s largest winter sports trade fair.
Skigebiete-Test awards the Ski Center Latemar the prize of “Top for Advanced Skiers” and “Top for Snowboarders”.

The Ski Center Latemar is voted one of the 55 major winter destinations in the Alps.
In an online poll, a commission of experts and the general public award the Obereggen snowpark the prize for “Best Beginners Park” and “Best Halfpipe”.
Obereggen is named overall winner by Skiareatest, making it the best ski resort in the Alps according to Skiareatest.
The Obereggen toboggan run is graded “Good” in the international ADAC toboggan run test.
Obereggen is chosen as one of the 40 most desirable ski destinations in the Alps.
Obereggen receives an international award in the categories Ski, Family and Snowboard.
Obereggen is awarded gold by Skiareatest for the best-groomed ski pistes in the Alps, the best snow-making facilities and the “Snow Master of the Year”.
The ADAC Ski Guide commends Obereggen for its varied tourist and sports offer.
Obereggen is commended by Skiareatest in the three categories of Ski, Family and Snowboard.
Obereggen is awarded the “Best Grooming” prize for the world’s best-groomed slopes.
