The area around Obereggen

The village that makes the ski and hiking area

The village of Obereggen lies at an altitude of 1,550 metres at the foot of the Obereggen skiing area, or rather at the bottom station and all around.

Natural backdrop

The impressive views of the Latemar massif, the twin peaks of the Corno Bianco and Corno Nero or the imposing Pala di Santa mountain are not the only things that make Obereggen a popular holiday and mountain village: there is also the beautiful surrounding natural landscape, perfect for hiking, the wide swathes of flowering Alpine roses and arnica in summer, the snow-covered meadows in winter, or the spruce and larch forests that cover the Dolomite slopes.

Numerous hiking trails and ski pistes

Since the 1960s Obereggen has constantly evolved as a tourist destination, thanks in part to the continually developing ski area. Ski lifts have been built, making a total of 111 kilometres of slopes accessible with a single ski pass, now expanded by the connection to the ski resorts of the Val di Fiemme. Obereggen is the ideal place for winter fun and winter holidays - but summer too is a wonderful time in the village, with countless hiking opportunities, including the Latemarium with its eight themed walks for families as well as those eager to get active, broaden their knowledge or simply relax!

There are numerous hotels with wellness and vitality offers, as well as smaller guesthouses, holiday apartments and private landlords, all making it easy for lovers of the Dolomites to spend a holiday in Obereggen.
