The little village of Monte San Pietro
Small but with the “wow” factor!
Monte San Pietro is a true mountain hamlet. Located at an altitude of 1,380 metres, there are just 700 inhabitants. Yet this tiny offshoot of Nova Ponente has a surprising amount to offer!
Explore the village of Monte San Pietro
Starting with the 18-hole golf course, nestling in the midst of the meadows and forests around Monte San Pietro and offering “wow”-grade mountain views, there are also hiking trails of varying degrees of difficulty, mountain huts (of course) and a ski lift. But the highlight is the sanctuary Madonna di Pietralba, an impressive pilgrimage church that has been attracting pilgrims and culture seekers since time immemorial – even Pope John Paul II came to visit! And all this just 40 minutes by car from the provincial capital Bolzano - and close to the UNESCO World Heritage Site of the Dolomites. You might even say right at the heart of it!
There are several small and cosy places to stay, as well as larger establishments offering Vital and Wellness services: finding a place to holiday in Monte San Pietro is not a problem!
