Stop Corona!

“We are ready!”  A break in Obereggen? Of course!

Wide open pastures, vivid forests, soaring rock towers – and an almost endless network of trails, offering everything from gentle strolls to high-Alpine adventures: “The Val d’Ega and the Latemar massif are places of longing that stimulate the urge to be get out and about and to experience nature, especially after the last months – and can provide enormous satisfaction”, explains Siegfried Pichler, director of Obereggen Latemar AG. He adds: “Of course, the need for safety is just as great, which is why we have taken additional effective precautions in Obereggen and throughout the Val d’Ega. We want our guests and visitors to enjoy a totally relaxing break this year: we are ready!”

Stop Corona!

As from 20 June things will be getting going in Obereggen, whether on foot or in more leisurely style on one of the various cable cars. The Latemar.ium, with its themed trails, artworks, viewpoints and Alpine pastures will also be open for visitors to hike and experience – in complete safety:

  • All employees of the Obereggen Latemar AG lift company, as well as staff at the catering establishments above the Val d’Ega have been tested for Covid-19, both by means of PCR and antibody tests. The tests were carried out by Dr Christian Thuile and are to be repeated at regular intervals. The costs will be borne by the respective establishments.

  • All employees have been thoroughly trained so as to avoid any risk.

  • The capacity of the lifts has been reduced: cable cars and chairlifts may run with a maximum of 2/3 of the permitted number of persons and will be regularly disinfected. Windows in the cabins and protective hoods on the chairlifts should be left open.

There is plenty of space for all guests on our adventure trails, in the Latemar Dolomites World Heritage Site and along the Eggentaler/Val d'Ega alpine pastures. Our lifts guarantee international hygiene standards, clear regulations and the highest safety measures for a carefree journey.
